The Bike rodeo for grade 4 students will be held on May 1st at 9:15. Students engage in  challenges on their own bike to show how much control they have on their bike. Helmets and own bike are compulsory

Schedule
Monday day 2: running
Tuesday day 3: reading buddies with area 23
Wednesday Day 4: Library book exchange
Thursday day 5: running
Friday day 1: No tea. Madame and the grade 4s are at Medieval Times.

Math 
Grades 3 and 4 will finish the current module and do test.

Holes 
Many students are already finished reading this book, so others please read at a brisk pace. At some point, at least for me, I had to finish, it was too good.

Language 
We have started a French poem and are now learning the first few lines. 
This week we will finish the 50 states of the US, by heart, and in alphabetical order. Phew!

Field Trip 
There are still a few students who have not returned their Warren Park permission forms. They are due this week.

Area 34 had an amazing conversation today about shark fin soup. They played the role of Toronto City Councillors seeking reelection in 2014. Should it be allowed in Toronto or not? Your kids are impressive.

Wednesday is day of Pink. Students are encouraged to wear something pink to fight against gender discrimination. The story goes that a grade 9 student on his first day at his new high school wore a pink shirt. He was made fun of and ridiculed for wearing pink. In a show of support for him the entire football team wore something pink the next day. Worth fighting for!
