While on Twitter this morning, I came across this information by Med Kharbach. I checked it out, liked it and posted it. Search engines are so critical for what comes up to view. http://goo.gl/fb/TYjxU

I don't often endorse businesses but we discovered Soup'n Such on Dundas right besides the big red boxing gloves near Bloor. The food is really amazing, healthy. no preservatives, plain earthy. This week-end we tried the frozen version of the lentil soup and the chili and it was just as fantastic as it was when fresh last Wednesday lunch.
Please note that if your child was absent last Friday records will not show an absence. Attendance was taken for students' safety only. It was not possible to tackle the curriculum due to low attendance.

The grade 4's are currently reading CS Lewis' The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. The book has 17 chapters and they are responsible for reading a chapter every 2 school days. We started Monday and last night they were responsible for finishing chapter 1. Tomorrow, chapter 2 etc... I have excluded week-ends and PD days. This timeline then leads us to the end of February when the book report is due. Also starting today is one lesson of math every school day. Today is lesson 1 of module 1. Because of their similarity in topics, we will do module 1 and 2 at the same time. Grade 3 students will also read a book called L'heure de la momie de Claudine Roland. It has 15 chapters that are very short. As with the grade 4's they will be responsible for 1 chapter every other school day. Unlike the grade 4's they will write in their journals after each chapter. It starts today therefore we anticipate the book to be read by by the last week in February.
Hello everyone and welcome back. This week we start with a run on Monday day 2. Running shoes are fine in the snow; boots not so much, the support is not there. Students are welcome in the classroom as of 8:30 in the morning and I will be working with a few of you at that time. Monday day 2: running; math module 1 and 2 Tuesday day 3: working away Wednesday day 4: working away Thursday day 5: running Friday day 1: tea I will need to be at school to be more precise on what the week will look like. For Friday grade 4 students must know all provinces and territories by heart. Grade 4's are starting a new book report. Latin for this week by heart: nulla res carius constat quam quae precibus empta est. Seneca. Nothing is so expensive as that which you have bought with pleas. The c in Latin is always pronounced as k.
